Ice is the finishing touch for any chilled drink. The quality of the ice cream can leave a lasting impression. In addition to ice cubes in five different sizes, Gram's IM machines also produce special shapes, such as ball, star and heart-shaped ice and extra-large and elongated cubes. This ice is extremely hard and crystal clear. In addition, it melts very slowly, allowing your guests to enjoy their chilled drinks for longer - without loss of taste.
Designed with hygiene as a priority, the unique IM range of ice machines uses a closed cell ice making system that has an automatic cleaning and rinsing cycle. This means that after each new load of ice, the water tank will be emptied, cleaned and then filled with fresh water.
1. Thanks to the water spray plate that fits snugly against the underside of the evaporator, the water circuit is closed to both external contamination and water loss. Each block is then filled with water under pressure. This creates ice of the highest possible ice quality.
2. While the ice cube is slowly forming, the jet continues until the end of the cycle. No fresh water is required as the water tank in the machine is sufficient for one full ice cycle.
3. When the block is completely formed, the micro computer starts the hot gas defrost. The water spray plate is opened and the hot gas slowly heats the evaporator. At this point, all remaining water from the ice making cycle is drained.
4. Finally, the ice cube falls from the evaporator box into the ice bunker. The water spray plate is cleaned with fresh water to remove residual particles before closing the plate again. Fresh water will continue to come in until the reservoir is full and a new freeze cycle can begin.
The easy-to-clean storage bunker has high-density foam insulation to slow the melting of the ice. The door gaskets provide insulation. This prevents bacteria from entering the storage bunker that could contaminate the ice. Another feature is the removable condenser air filter that can be easily removed for cleaning. A clean air filter helps the ice maker maintain maximum performance.
• Each ice cycle is performed with fresh water.
• The water spray plate is cleaned with every cycle.
• Closed water circuit for essential protection against contamination.
• Stainless steel housing.
• Integrated doorknobs.
• Removable door seal.
• Easy to clean air filter.
• The injected polyurethane foam provides excellent insulation.
• Microcomputer control.
The ice production of the IM series ranges from 22 - 720 kg in 24 hours. Even in high ambient temperatures, Gram IM machines are durable and reliable, making them suitable for bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes, sandwich shops, hotels and more.
NB!
Some combinations of ice maker and storage bunkers may require a top kit to ensure proper assembly of the icemaker and storage bunker. The top kit that is required is indicated at the options below (price of the storage bunkers include the required top kits)
What is the difference between an air cooled and a water cooled machine?
Air-cooled ice machines require a large volume of air cooler than 40°C to function properly. The higher the ambient temperature, the lower the production capacity will be, which means that locations without good ventilation can be better avoided. If a machine must be placed in a room with minimal ventilation (a small enclosed space, so built-in) that can become warm, in a warm room such as a kitchen or washing-up area, it is wiser to place a water-cooled machine. As a result, the production capacity is preserved.
Indication of water consumption (IM-240WNE/IM-240DWNE/IM-240AWNEW) for the cooling water, approx.:
ambient temperature / water temperature: 10 / 10°C: 1.44 m³ per day
ambient temperature / water temperature: 21 / 15°C: 1.48 m³ per day
ambient temperature / water temperature: 32 / 21°C: 1.86 m³ per day
NB! A water-cooled machine uses about 3 to 4 times more water than an air-cooled machine. A water-cooled machine is only used if it is placed in a place where no fresh air can reach. Think of a closed cellar, a cupboard, or if the machine is completely built in a bar*. *Certain air-cooled models are suitable for this. Please contact our customer service for this.
