This Hoshizaki IM-65PE-UQ is an ice maker with a built-in ice hopper and produces up to 60 kg of the highest-quality ball-shaped ice cubes per 24 hours. This EliteCUBE model features a variable-speed DC pump, an internal drain pump, automatic cleaning and notifications, and UV sanitization. This prevents contamination in the water tank, for the purest ice.

The unique IM series of ice machines is designed with hygiene as a priority and uses a closed-cell ice production system with an automatic cleaning and rinsing cycle. This means that after each new batch of ice, the water tank is emptied, cleaned, and then refilled with fresh water.

1. Thanks to the water spray plate, which fits snugly against the underside of the evaporator, the water circuit is closed to both external contamination and water loss. Each cube is then filled with water under pressure, creating ice of the highest possible quality.

2. While the ice cube is slowly formed, the jet continues until the end of the cycle. No fresh water is required, as the water reservoir in the machine is sufficient for one complete ice cycle.

3. When the cube is fully formed, the microcomputer starts the hot gas defrost cycle. The water spray plate opens, and the hot gas slowly heats the evaporator. At this point, any remaining water from the ice production cycle is drained.

4. Finally, the ice cube falls from the evaporator box into the ice bin. The water spray plate is rinsed with fresh water to remove any remaining particles before the plate is closed again. Fresh water continues to flow until the reservoir is full and a new freezing cycle can begin.

The easy-to-clean storage bin features high-density foam insulation to slow ice melt. Door gaskets provide insulation, preventing bacteria from entering the bin and contaminating the ice. Another feature is the removable condenser air filter, which is easily removed for cleaning. A clean air filter helps maintain peak performance of the ice machine.
