The WD-7 comes standard with manual hood operation, but if you want a more user-friendly dishwasher, opt for an automatic hood with Autostart (available at an additional cost). It couldn't be simpler. Slide the basket into the dishwasher, the hood closes automatically and the washing program starts automatically. The hood opens automatically when the program is finished. The dishes are sparkling clean and immediately start to dry, while the dishwasher is ready for the next basket. In addition to faster processing of the dishes, the automatic hood with "Autostart" also reduces the physical strain on the dishwasher operator. By closing and opening the hood fully automatically and starting the program fully automatically, the load on the arm and shoulder muscles is reduced, which greatly reduces the risk of RSI complaints.
Tilting construction
The hood's unique tilting construction directs the vapor out of the hood at the rear and out of the machine operator's face.
Efficient cleaning
The large wash tank and the efficient stainless steel filters ensure that the water stays clean for longer and the nozzles do not get clogged. To prevent washing water from the upper washing arm from dripping onto the clean dishes during the final rinse, the washing water is first removed from this washing arm at the start of the rinsing process. The WD-7 is standard equipped with a fully automatic cleaning program. At the end of the day, one push of a button is enough to let the machine clean itself. And with the help of the electronic control, a perfect balance is found between a great end result and minimal water consumption.
Energy-recovering steam condensing unit
When the hood of the dishwasher is opened, the released water vapors are extracted by a fan. These vapors are passed through a heat exchanger. The vapors condense and do not enter the kitchen. The condensed water runs back into the machine. The energy from the collected water vapors is thus recovered. This heat is used to preheat the feed water. The energy that is recovered with this is approximately 1.5 kW/hour at 30 baskets/hour. When installing this steam condensing unit, it is not necessary to connect the machine to an external extractor hood. Good spatial ventilation in the dishwashing kitchen is sufficient for a pleasant working environment. For optimum operation of the steam condensing unit, we recommend equipping the machine with an automatic hood and a reinforced boiler element.
Heat exchanger with energy recovery
The discharge water from a pass-through machine has a temperature of 50-60°C. Normally this heat is lost through the drain. The heat exchanger consists of an ingenious pipe system in which the heat from the discharge water is transferred to the incoming cold water according to the counter-current principle. The energy that is recovered with this is approximately 3.5 kW/hour at 30 baskets/hour. Depending on how the machine is used, this can lead to savings of up to €500 per year.
