Brewing coffee for large groups always takes a lot of time. The constant process of placing the cup, pressing the buttons, and removing it is time-consuming. That's not necessary with this handy coffee percolator. It allows you to brew a large quantity of coffee at once and pour your cups quickly.
Capacity of 120 cups per hour
This stainless steel coffee percolator has a 15-liter capacity, allowing you to brew approximately 120 cups of coffee per hour. An added benefit is that you can keep the coffee warm in the percolator, preserving its freshness. A gauge glass on the front indicates the remaining coffee level. The convenient tap makes it easy to fill cups with coffee. Insulated handles prevent heat buildup, making it easy to move the percolator even when it's still hot. The plastic lid has a convenient cap for easy grip. Four rubber feet ensure the percolator is stable and won't slide.
Easy coffee making
The coffee percolator is easy to use. Fill the coffee percolator with water. Make sure you fill it at least halfway and never above the maximum line. Then, place the stainless steel coffee filter in the percolator and fill it with medium-ground coffee. With finely ground coffee, you run the risk of coffee grounds seeping through the filter and into your coffee. If you do want to use this, we recommend using a paper filter. Then, plug in the coffee percolator and turn it on. First, the water in the percolator is heated. The heat causes the water to rise through the immersion pipe and pour it over the coffee, creating a large reservoir of freshly brewed coffee. After about 45-60 minutes, the green light will turn on, indicating the coffee has been brewed. You can then begin dispensing coffee. Pull the tap handle toward you and fill the cup with the hot coffee. Once the cup is full, press the lever back down.
Heating up coffee
You can also reheat cold coffee. Make sure there are at least 12 cups of coffee left in the percolator to prevent the coffee from boiling dry. Turn the machine off and remove the stainless steel filter and immersion pipe. Turn the machine back on, and it will reheat the coffee. This prevents coffee from being wasted and is convenient when guests want a quick cup of coffee.
Use and maintenance of the coffee percolator
When the coffee is no longer visible through the gauge glass, turn off the coffee percolator and unplug it. Wait until the remaining coffee has cooled sufficiently, then empty the percolator. Remove the coffee filter and the immersion pipe from the machine. Discard the coffee grounds and wash the coffee filter, lid, and immersion pipe with clean, soapy water. Clean the inside and outside of the coffee percolator with a soft cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent. Dry the parts thoroughly after cleaning. To maintain the quality of the coffee and extend the life of the coffee percolator, it is important to clean it after each use.
Descaling a coffee percolator
In addition, it's important to descale the coffee percolator regularly. This can be done with a descaling agent or with vinegar. When using a descaling agent, follow the instructions. If you want to use cleaning vinegar, make a mixture of 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water. Assemble the coffee percolator (without coffee!) and turn the machine on. Let the machine run for 15 minutes, then turn it off. Drain the vinegar mixture and rinse the coffee percolator thoroughly with hot water. After descaling, rinse the coffee percolator twice more with clean water (15 minutes each).
Sustainable coffee percolator
A coffee percolator uses gravity. As the water heats, it rises through the immersion tube, pouring the hot water over the coffee filter. The coffee percolator is a durable machine. If you use medium-ground coffee, you no longer need paper filters. You can brew large quantities of coffee without wasting coffee by using the tap. You can easily heat coffee, so you don't have to throw it away. The coffee percolator is easy to use and, with its tap, suitable for a buffet. Guests can measure out how much coffee they want. If this coffee percolator is a bit large for you, we also have a model with a 10-liter capacity. This is suitable for brewing approximately 80 cups per hour. Would you prefer to use your own ground coffee? That's possible; Maxima has various coffee grinders available for this task. Not sure which coffee percolator is best for your business?
