When you have to make coffee for large groups, it always takes a lot of time. The continuous act of placing the cup, pressing the buttons, and removing the cup is time-consuming. That is not necessary with this handy coffee percolator. With it, you brew a large quantity of coffee at once and quickly pour your cups.
Capacity of 120 cups per hour
This stainless steel coffee percolator has a capacity of 15 liters, allowing you to brew approximately 120 cups of coffee per hour. An additional advantage is that you can keep the coffee warm inside the percolator, ensuring it retains its fresh flavor. A sight glass on the front indicates how much coffee is left in the percolator. The convenient tap makes it easy to fill the cups with coffee. The insulated handles ensure they do not get hot, making it easy to move the coffee percolator even when it is still hot. The lid is made of plastic and features an easy-to-grip grip. The four rubber feet ensure that the coffee percolator stands firmly and cannot slide away.
Easily make coffee
The coffee percolator is easy to use. Fill the coffee percolator with water. Make sure to fill the percolator at least halfway and never beyond the max line. Next, place the stainless steel coffee filter in the percolator and fill it with medium-coarse ground coffee. With finely ground coffee, you run the risk of coffee grounds passing through the filter and ending up in your coffee. If you do wish to use this, we recommend using a paper filter. Then, plug the percolator into the socket and switch it on. First, the water inside the percolator is heated. Due to the heat, the water rises through the immersion tube and is poured over the coffee in this way. This creates a large supply of freshly brewed coffee. After approximately 45-60 minutes, the green light will illuminate, indicating that the coffee has finished brewing. You can then start dispensing the coffee. Pull the tap handle towards you and fill the cup with the hot coffee. Once the cup is filled, push the handle back down.
Heating up coffee
It is also possible to heat up cold coffee. Ensure that there are at least 12 cups of coffee remaining in the percolator; this prevents the coffee from boiling dry. Turn off the machine and remove the stainless steel filter and the plunger. Turn the machine back on, and it will reheat the coffee. This prevents coffee waste and is convenient when guests want a quick cup of coffee.
Use and maintenance of the coffee percolator
When the coffee is no longer visible through the sight glass, turn off the coffee percolator and unplug it from the socket. Wait until the remaining coffee has cooled sufficiently and then drain the percolator. Remove the coffee filter and the plunger from the machine. Discard the coffee grounds and wash the coffee filter, lid, and plunger with clean water and soapy water. Clean the inside and outside of the coffee percolator with a soft cloth dampened with water and mild detergent. Dry the parts thoroughly after cleaning. To maintain the quality of the coffee and extend the lifespan of the coffee percolator, it is important to clean the coffee percolator after every use.
Descale coffee percolator
Additionally, it is important to descale the coffee percolator regularly. This can be done with a descaling agent, but also with vinegar. When using a descaling agent, you must follow the instructions for use. If you want to use cleaning vinegar, make a mixture of 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water. Assemble the coffee percolator (without coffee!) and turn on the machine. Let the machine run for 15 minutes and then turn it off. Drain the vinegar mixture and rinse the coffee percolator thoroughly with hot water. After descaling, you must rinse the coffee percolator twice more with clean water (for 15 minutes).
Sustainable coffee percolator
A coffee percolator utilizes gravity. As the water is heated, it rises through the immersion tube, pouring the hot water over the coffee filter. The coffee percolator is a sustainable machine. If you use medium-coarse ground coffee, you no longer need paper filters. You can brew large quantities of coffee and avoid wasting coffee thanks to the tap. You can easily reheat coffee, meaning you don't have to throw it away. The coffee percolator is easy to use and, with the tap, suitable for a buffet. Guests can measure their own coffee intake. If you find this coffee percolator a bit large, we also have a model with a capacity of 10 liters. This is suitable for brewing approximately 80 cups per hour. Would you prefer to use freshly ground coffee? This is possible; Maxima has various coffee grinders available for this task. Not sure which coffee percolator best suits your company?
