Air-cooled, nugget ice cream
Possible storage bunkers: B-301SA (144kg), B-501SA (217kg), B-801SA (348kg)
The Hoshizaki FM machines produce flake or nugget ice for a variety of purposes. As a result, they are very popular with catering companies, cocktail bars and a number of large European supermarket chains, but also in the medical world and healthcare. The ice is compressed during production, making it less likely to melt. With the ice cream produced by Hoshizaki ice cream machines, the phenomenon of 'freezer burn' does not occur when presenting fresh fish or other products.
Nugget Ice: Consists of 80% ice and 20% water. Nugget ice is even more compressed than flake ice and is ideal for presentation purposes.
Hoshizaki ice cream machines in this series can be converted to flake or nugget ice in a relatively cheap way, making them significantly more flexible than other machines on the market.
Carbon worm bearings are used in this series, a very robust alternative to roller bearings. This increases the life of your machine and you save on maintenance costs. The worm and evaporator are made of high quality stainless steel, which also increases the life of these parts, giving your machine a longer life and less maintenance.
Environmentally Friendly Ice Cream Makers:
Hydrocarbons (HC) are naturally occurring compounds that have proven to be the most climate-friendly and cost-effective refrigerants for heating, cooling and freezing. According to Hoshizaki, hydrocarbons will play an important role in the future of refrigeration technology, and the company is leading the way in producing eco-friendly ice cream machines. This means that the use of hydrocarbon ice machines reduces energy consumption by as much as 20% per unit, reducing CO2 emissions from energy suppliers and saving you on operating costs. In addition, the units in the FM series use CO2 foam insulation without HFC for further savings in operating costs. This keeps the temperature of the unit constant, which in turn contributes to a reduction in direct greenhouse gas emissions.
Pay attention!
Some combinations of ice maker and storage bunkers may require a top kit to ensure proper assembly of the icemaker and storage bunker. The top kit that is required is indicated at the options below (price of the storage bunkers include the required top kits)
