Performance

Structure

The B.PROTHERM is made of stainless steel 18/10, material no. 1.4301. The surface is microlaid. Body and revolving doors are double-walled and thermally insulated with CFC-free PUR foam plates.
The wagon as a duo model is equipped with two separate and thermally insulated compartments next to each other.
The left compartment is recirculated air heated, the right compartment is recirculated air cooled. The compartments can be arranged separately from each other. The B.PROTHERM is mobile by means of galvanized steel wheels (4 swivel castors, 2 with brakes, wheel diameter 160 mm). The stable plastic base construction with integrated, all-round impact protection protects the device and furniture from damage.

The bottom, rear and side walls are provided with an edge radius R2 all around and are spot welded on the contact surfaces (hygiene version HS). The inside is fully equipped with 30 pairs of deep-drawn stainless steel guide walls per compartment for easy cleaning and optimal hygiene. The runners are evenly spaced by 38.3 mm to accommodate Gastronorm inserts size GN 1/1 or their subdivisions. In this way, all common distance dimensions (approx. 75 mm, 115 mm) fit in one device and the interior space is used efficiently.

Due to the intelligent positioning of the cooling module at the bottom on the inside against the rear wall, the guides for the cooling module can also be used in the right-hand compartment. Therefore, 24 pairs of conductors are provided for receiving the size GN 1/1 or subdivisions thereof and 6 pairs of conductors for receiving the size GN 1/2 or subdivisions thereof.

The cooling unit is located inside the appliance, protected by the body. The air is drawn into the chiller through the rear of the unit, protected from ingress of dirt and splash water by a ventilation grille and an air filter. The outlet opening is located at the bottom of the device. The B.PROTHERM contains the finned evaporator and the fan, which distributes the cold air evenly over the inside of the device through the evaporator and via the air grille integrated in the rear wall.

The active convection cooling is suitable for keeping food cool with a maximum temperature of +2 °C to +10 °C from a hygiene point of view. The heating module with convection heating is permanently integrated in the rear wall of the left-hand compartment. Control range: +30 °C to +95 °C. The temperature can be accurately adjusted to the degree per compartment. An air grille on the inside of the rear wall ensures optimum, fast and even air circulation throughout the interior and at the same time serves as a stop for the inserted GN containers. The air grille can be removed for cleaning purposes.
The interior and exterior of the body are vertically connected with plastic profiles and thermally separated.
The B.PROTHERM is standard equipped with 4 vertically placed push handles for optimal handling from all sides. The ergonomic length of the handles allows for easy maneuvering of the cart. The push handles are located within the impact protection to prevent entrapment of the hands when driving through doors and narrow aisles. The spiral cable and the plug holder are located at the rear of the device, also within the all-round impact protection. The B.PRO Control control is user-friendly integrated on the top of the corpus above each compartment. This includes the on/off button, a menu button, a function button and an up/down button, among other things to accurately regulate the relevant internal temperature to the degree.

Doors

At the front, the car is fitted with two doors that can be rotated through 270° with a lock on the bottom plate. In closed and open positions, the doors are located within the impact protection and are therefore protected against damage. The push handles are still accessible with the door open. The robust door hinges are made of cast stainless steel. The construction of the hinges prevents the risk of injury if the hinge is accidentally caught. A ventilation valve is integrated in the door of the circulating air heated compartment to regulate the humidity level in the compartment.

In addition, the doors are fitted with an all-round food-safe seal (TPE), which seals against the body and can be removed.

When the doors are opened, the installed door contact switch ensures that the cooling or cooling function is switched on. heating is switched off and unnecessary energy loss is prevented. The doors are fitted with a two-point locking system. The door can be opened easily by sliding the door handle from the outside.
On the inside, the B.PROTHERM has a push button that glows in the dark. The patented panic lock can be released from the inside in the event of accidental lock-up at the push of a button. This so-called photoluminescence effect meets the requirements for safety-relevant parts in accordance with ISO 16069.
